TAMAN WISATA ALAM ANGKE KAPUK

Today I had family time at this nature mangrove site on Pantai Indah Kapuk area. The position is around 1 kilometre from Waterbom Pantai Indah Kapuk on North Jakarta, right behind Buddha Tzu Chi.
The area of this mangrove is quite big. You can go here by bike, motorcycle and car. There are none public transport to reach this place. The ticket is quite cheap, IDR25.000 for adult, IDR 10.000 for children, IDR 5.000 for motorcycle and IDR 15.000 for car. On of the cheap recreation spot in town.

View steps the front gate, you will found a mosque for muslims whose want to pray to their god then you will find the parking area and a checking point. Here, they will check your tickets, bags and belongings because we are prohibited to bring profesional camera, mineral bottled water and snacks then you can see a big map of the park and the available programs that the park provide for the visitors.

The mangrove itself is quite spacious, and
because we are in the mangrove so most of the area are like a little lake with plants and trees even it surrounding the bridges. The area is quite big so they build some bridges and connector to allow us to walk around the area, most of the bridges are made of wood and bamboo but becareful because some parts of the bridges are broken.

They have little cabin up to the big one to be lease for weekend or other occasions, they also have one big meeting hall to be rented for office meeting or else, complete with soundsystem.
They have a special program to planting the mangrove for schools or companies to teach them how to love our nature. They also have many nature activities and programs that you will find in the information center.
In the canteen area, you will find snacks, drinks and food after you walking around the mangrove.

There are a watch tower around 15 meters, it quite a chalenge to reach the top level of the tower but all will be paid off when you reach it. I can see all around the mangrove and all area between and feel the wind blows from those height is really a moment that equal with the trouble.
Please watch your steps while climbing or going down from the tower because some of the steps are quite wide between them.

They also have boats to explore the mangrove through the water. The booth you can find near the canteen area.

That's it... The wonderful natural exploring mangrove and prepare your physical before you visit this site because the route is quite long and challenging. Have fun...

BAKMI GM - GAJAH MADA PLAZA

Today I had lunch at this restaurant with my family. We ordered bakmi ayam, nasi capcay and nasi goreng smoked chicken and also 10 pcs of their signature dish Pangsit Goreng.
The restaurant is placed at Gajah Mada Plaza, rigth beside J-Co, the position was owned by McDonalds.
Their interior is quite modern with big windows on the south side, a modern divider and also long chair in between and they have space to celebrate someone birthday party or as other occasions celebrations. On behind the restaurant they have two glass swing doors to access to the ATM center of the mall but it's locked. I think they've locked it because someone just passing through the restaurant just to getting to the ATM center and disturbing their guests.
Back to the dishes, they have a quality standard on their dishes because I've tried on some of their restaurant and they all taste the same.
Their Bakmi Ayam dish is their special noodle with vegetables and chicken chunks and served with a small bowl of soup. Their noodle is not like regular noodle, it quite thin but it chewy but the taste is great and the soup is very tasty. Love this dish.
The Nasi Goreng Smoked Chicken is fried rice with sweet corn, smoked chicken chunks and egg. I tasted the sweet of the corn, semi burn rice, delicious smoked chicken chunks, all in one bite, every bite till the last one.
Other dish I've tried today is Nasi Capcay. Capcay is one famous chinese dishes have been modified into various styles with any kind of meats and vegetables. In this dish I found some vegetables with processed meat, chicken in thick hot gravy and a portion of rice. The vegetables are fresh and the meats are seasoned well in this thick tasty gravy. So yummy.
The last is Pangsit Goreng or Fried Dumplings. This is one of the signature dish of the restaurant becausr of the crunchiness of the dumpling, it quite thick but it very easy to break into pieces. Served with homemade sour sauce to levitate the taste of the dumpling, no wonder that everyone are addictive to this dish.
The overall of the dishes are tasty and great, they also have reward program with every purchase of IDR 100.000, you with get a stamp on their Reward Card, you will get the card automatically when you purchase more than IDR 100.000 but if you didn't get it,you may ask the cashier about it.
I had an unforgetable experience today on this restaurant. I got my Bakmi Ayam, sour sauce and all beverages ordered just less than 5 minutes, this is so weird, they served the sour sauce of the Pangsit Goreng dish without the Pangsit Goreng on the table, Hellow...what's going on there in the kitchen?
Then in another 5 minutes later I just got the second dish, Nasi Capcay because of the longest waiting time, I ordered another portion of Bakmi Ayam and less than 5 minutes my additional dish is served. Wow, it's magic, why they can served that Bakmi Ayam faster than the other dishes?
I have to wait more than 15 minutes to get Nasi Goreng Smoked Chicken and Pangsit Goreng after all the previous dishes are done.
Their service are so messed up and you know why they have troubles to serving those dishes? It because of the waiter is made mistake on the table's number. So funny actualy, how come a waiter could forget the table's number on they own restaurant?
I hope they will fixed they table's numbering soon or else another person will be a victim like me today. Hufh.....

MAD FOR GARLIC

After wandering around to find a restaurant to celebrate my best friend's birthday. Finally, we picked this restaurant, Mad For Garlic, because other restaurants were fully booked for other people to having their breakfasting during this holy month of Ramadhan.

This unique restaurant place in the Grand Indonesia Mall.
First impression I had is, this is a classy restaurant since the interior design is quite impressive with a lot of garlic shaped ornaments and the uncovered bricks for the walls with the classic touch on the separators and lamps, they also put some artificial trees between the tables to adding the aura of country style home.

The chairs and tables in the middle made of woods in black finishing and on the left side there are chairs in red soft cover. So I choose that red squishy chair, it's enough for 5-6 persons with a U shaped so it's like that we are together on the dining.


The food menu is separated from the beverages menu. For the food, the price started from IDR 35.000 and the beverages started from IDR 22.000 before tax.
After we read the menu, we ordered Chicken & Pasta Combo, Philly Cheese Pizza and BBQ Chicken Ranch Pizza for the main courses and for the beverages we ordered ice tea and lychee ice tea. I love the pizza they made here, it's thin and crunchy not like american pizza which always comes with a thick bread.

First came the BBQ Chicken Ranch Pizza. It's a thin crush pizza topped with hot bbq sauce and some spicy chicken grill with cheese, lettuce and arugula. The lettuce and arugula are fresh then you can taste the spicy from the chicken and bbq sauce in one bite. But for me, it's not too spicy and I need to add more chili sauce to levitated the taste.

Then Chicken and Pasta combo came, it's came with a big chicken breast cooked in basil teriyaki sauce and onions then the pasta is spaghetti cooked in salmon stock and capers. On the plate I also get salad served with balsamic dressing.

The last is Philly Cheese Pizza, the same thin crush pizza topped with beef slices, mushroom, papper mix and 2 varieties of cheese, cheddar and provolone cheese. Actually the strongest taste om this pizza is came from provolone cheese. Maybe a bit weird but since I like Italian cheese, I really love this dish.
Finished that all food on the table, we asked for the bill and the waiter said that they have promo just regram and follow their instagram @madforgarlicjakarta, you will get a IDR 100.000 voucher for the next visit, terms and condition apply of course but after all, we are satisfied with this restaurant.

FIRST IN THE LINE

I like to tell stories about everything I like, some food I ate, new places I visitted, new friends I met, newest stories I heard, reviwing my gadgets etc, sometimes I put it on my media social like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or else but it only part of the real story I want to share, so my friends suggested me to start to write all down in a blog to remain me where I was and also as my tracker what was I did.
Because of them, I started this blog. Maybe it's nothing you can found useful here but for me, these are my stories that I willing to share with you all.
